Project: Coral Sea Dreaming

Descent Productions have been working with Coral Sea Dreaming since 2018 as their Head Videographers and Editors. The Coral Sea Dreaming team required a powerhouse underwater film crew to completely overhauled their film and photography content. We’ve run a number of productions with this operator over the last 4 years, and have worked together on a number of projects including the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority’s Tourism Activation Initiative. Throughout this initiative, Descent Productions sorted through terabytes of footage filmed daily by the Coral Sea Dreaming crew as they monitored the Great Barrier Reef, to edit 12x weekly edits, and one longer project film.

The Operator Films

Over the last 4 years Descent Productions has worked closely with Coral Sea Dreaming to create a number of epic underwater films portraying them as one of the premiere operators on the Great Barrier Reef, and highlighting Milln Reef which they visit as one of the best reef’s on the Great Barrier Reef. I’m sure you’ll see with the below films how much we sincerely believe these statements. The vessel is beautiful, the reef is unbelievable, and the crew are fantastic. We’ve shot a number of films covering all aspects of Coral Sea Dreaming’s offerings, from promoting the vessel, the reef, and also the trip with films shot from the perspective of the customer.

The GBRMPA’s Tourism Activation Initiative

Descent Productions has also worked closely with Coral Sea Dreaming on a number of other projects included this government Initiative. Throughout this Initiative, the Coral Sea Dreaming crew were tasked with recording almost daily footage in their efforts to survey the reef, educate their guests on the state of the reef, and remove harmful species. Descent Productions sorted through terabytes of footage filmed by the Coral Sea Dreaming crew on a daily basis, to edit 12x weekly narrated edits, and one longer narrated project film.
