Other Projects
At Descent Productions we have our big headline projects, and a number of regular clients, but we appreciate that not every job requires a large film crew and multiple days to shoot. Attached below are a range of smaller projects, that were filmed in some cases over the period of a few hours.
Abyss Scuba: AVELO
A short promotional film our team shot with Abyss Scuba Diving in Sydney, to promote their brand new Avelo Speciality Course, and highlight the Avelo systems launch in Australia.
Yoga In The Wind
Descent Productions shot this short 20 second promotional film for Yoga In The Wind to promote their local yoga studio and private yoga classes in Byron Bay. The video was designed to be short and sharp, yet relaxing, for primary display on web and socials.
The Abyss Project
This mini documentary was shot with The Abyss Project and tells a heartwarming story saving 53 Sydney Whites Seahorses. This film made national TV headlines in March 2020. Descent Productions have worked for extended periods with The Abyss Project as their Lead Videographers.
GoPro Hero 10
Descent Productions shot this epic shark fuelled film with GoPro Australia and New Zealand entirely on the new GoPro Hero 10. Film shot to showcase the cameras underwater capability.
UW Images Promotional Campaign
Descent Productions shot this short 20 second promotional film for UW Images and underwater photographer Brett Lobwein. The film was aired during a BBC environment interview UW Images were assisting with. Descent Productions have since worked with Brett Lobwein as a freelance photographer for a few productions.
Australian Seabird Rescue
Descent Productions filmed this heartwarming story for Australian Seabird Rescue on the release of two of their Green Sea Turtles, Billie and Ella, who spent 6 months in care after consuming plastic waste. The piece was filmed to promote the incredible work this team do, in an effort to raise funds for future conservational projects like this one.
Sundive Byron Bay
Descent Productions shot this narrated film with Sundive Byron Bay, to tell the story of Julian Rocks’ marine life from Summer to Winter. This site is one of our all time favourites, featuring a variety of migratory sharks and wildlife.
