Project: National Gallery of Victoria Exhibition
In 2020 and 2021 our team had the opportunity to create two distinct film pieces to accompany an ocean art design project led by Dr. Pirjo Haikola, which was displayed in the National Gallery of Victoria 2020 Triennial Exhibition and the 2021 National Gallery of Victoria Exhibition ‘Sampling The Future’.
These two environmental film pieces tie together the story of Port Phillip Bay, in Melbourne’s Sea Urchin problem, and Coral Bleaching on the Great Barrier Reef, offering a solution founded in design and science. This project which stretched over 2 years, is one we are incredibly honoured to have been a part of, and it is a project that is going to continue to grow as it moves to new art galleries as the story develops and the science evolves.
While this project started as a combined art design and visual film exhibition commissioned by the National Gallery of Victoria, it has evolved into something far far bigger, and we can’t wait to share this with the world.
The Exhibition Trailer
As the two films our team produced are currently still being showcased in art galleries, and are being considered for future global exhibitions, we are not able to show the two full films. However we do have a heart stopping trailer to showcase some of the incredible scenes we were filming, and the mesmerising work done by Dr. Pirjo Haikola.
Stills From The Exhibition
Below are a few stills of our work being showcased in the National Gallery of Victoria 2020 Triennial Exhibition and in the 2021 National Gallery of Victoria Exhibition ‘Sampling The Future’.
